The United States Women of Today was established in 1985, and currently
has 16 states and over 3,600 members across the nation. The purpose of
this organization is to encourage, foster and support the growth and
establishment of state and local members.
External foundation programs are supported by the
United States Women of Today. In previous years, the national
organization has worked with foundations such as March of Dimes,
Arthritis Foundation, Leukemia Society, Breast Cancer Awareness, and
Multiple Sclerosis Society. In addition, across the nation local
chapters and states focus on community and state foundations or concerns
of their choice. National figures estimate over $1,000,000 has been
donated to nationally supported external programming areas.
Chapter and states involve education as well as fundraising efforts. We
provide training programs to our members where each member can learn
effective verbal and written communication skills, how to be a dynamic
leader, how to organize and prioritize, and how to understand others and
ourselves.
Our Mission
The mission
of the United States Women of Today is to provide state and local member
chapter opportunities in the areas of leadership training, personal
growth, community service and work in partnership with established
foundations.
